I discovered fhm in october 2001. finally, a magazine that really catered to a guy’s passions. without the guilt, i must add…sex, sexy ladies, cars, bands, basketball, looking and feeling good, jokes,…name it, FHM must have covered it.
It was a fiesta at the house of one of my friend and he showed me this October 2001 issue with jennifer lopez on the cover. of course, j-lo was the hottest back then! i borrowed it and until now, i still have them on my shelf, haha, sorry my friend!
I bought my first copy in december 2001, the one featuring a sexy dina bonnevie! how can idol vic sotto let go of this sexy mamma?! well, of course, being a tvj fanatic, i know the answers, hehe…
I didn’t buy an issue everytime. when i saw one i fancy, i buy as much as possible. the next one i bought was the april 2002 issue with a fresh maui taylor on the cover. i just knew i’d love this magazine more after that. i also borrowed previous issues like the ones with mylene dizon (from my brother’s gf back then) and the first one with assunta de rossi on the cover (i secretly “borrowed” from my cousin). the mylene issue was returned to owner. the de rossi issue (which was made hotter by karen montelibano’s shots) was lent to a friend who has not returned the mag (that’s two years already! karma!).
My favorites that can still be found on my personal collection are the following:

Patricia Javier (June 2002) – she was so hot but then she was almost outshined by a featured newbie in that issue…diana zubiri’s fhm debut!
Aubrey Miles (September 2002) – it was her turn to debut on fhm and man, was it mind-blowing (to say the least!)?!
Sheree (November 2002) – another fhm debut, this time with a then unknown lady who would fulfill fantasies for years!

Diana Zubiri (December 2002) – the mag’s strong year had her pictorial gems as the climatic finale!

Francine Prieto (November 2003) – this was how the tall, sexy, and “disappointing” former host of beatles forever (she sucked big time that i wanna shoot steve o neil’s head for letting her host!) on abc 5, started her rise to national men’s consciousness… i’d have note that it was kinda frustrating that FHM lacked really standout issues that year.

Maureen Larrazabal (May 2004) – i really didn’t find her beautiful and sexy but with this edition, her photos changed my view! go lick more ice cream!!!

Aubrey Miles (August 2004) – the 50th fhm edition featured who was the hottest of ‘em all at that time! and the feature on how sex tapes and scandals were made was an eye-opener!
Jeni Hernandez (April 2005) – her career never really took off but i sure am glad to have her pics on my shelf as remembrance.
Tanya Garcia (March 2006) – i bought this issue coz i wanted to see more skin from her but what captivated me more was one of the unknown girls featured inside…monica varga! i lose my, uhm, breath, whenever i flip through the pages.

Ehra Madrigal (September 2006) – i really didn’t know her then but when she was promoting the issue on an fm station, i heard her voice. it was so familiar (like my ex’s in 2002) so i decided to buy. no regrets there, she was hugely hot!

Karel Marquez (November 2006) – i always thought she was pretty, and now i think she’s sexy, sexy, sexy!
Cristine Reyes (July 2007) – i waited for this a long time and it was worth the wait, definitely! smooth as silk!
Michelle Madrigal (September 2007) – i’m not really her fan. i even think this was one of the most boring issue. but then, somewhere inside its pages, you’ll find something from me, ALHMAR.

Precious Adona (June 2008) – now, the LXPs and forum rushers know that precious adona “trumpeted” her way into my attention with her gorgeous pics here.

last but not the least, the 100th issue. featuring three of my newest fantasies: precious adona (more trumpets please!), joyce so (sexy body, an even prettier face!), and cherry ann kubota (ferociously hot and a friendster experience i will never forget!).
but more than the sexy candle-blowers, it was the names of tito, vic, and joey splashed on the cover that did it for me! a well-written feature on the eraserheads reunion concert. plus the rundown of the top 100 movies, tv shows, books, and songs of the fhm years (2000-2008).
again, SMASHING!

i gotta say, im quite sure sheree is a keeper. =)
pahiram, vice. hint: idol kita. wahehehe. =)
Vice,
I probably know why the ‘Assunta’ Issue wasn’t returned to you… as far as I know, it was the best FHM issue that circulated in our school during it’s release… Every guy I know would answer directly that that was the best FHM issue for them.
Mommy Kresha
kiko – pahiram? sure…but first, i have a problem…where’s my copy?! waaah!!!…sheree!!!
kresha – yes, mommy, that issue was one of the best, if not the best!
hear hear! one of best yung Assunta edition, pero yung kay Precious Adona nung June 08, grabe! Panalo! hahaha.
Like I said, if FHM stood for “For Him Magazine”, how come its doesn’t feature sexy men?!? After all, some hims prefer hims, not just hyms wahahaha pun intended
this particular blog received several hits coming from fhm.com.ph referrals! to all those who checked it out, thanks!
ahaha may point si dru! (yun lang ang comment ko) basta alam ko, kumpleto ang kapatid ko ng fhm mags.ahehe
